NN coating drum

A coating drum (or coating machine) has the primary function of applying a protective or decorative layer (coating) uniformly to the surface of products.

Products are continuously mixed using a rotating drum, while a liquid or powder is added.

Operating principle

The drum rotates and ensures that the products (e.g., granules, candies, tablets) are kept in constant motion, so that the coating layer is evenly distributed. Often warm air is blown through the drum simultaneously to dry the coating quickly.
